wakeful_blasmanjazzTaking advantage of the Easter holidays, the days where the family is even more unique than ever and where chocolate easter bunnies are all around us, Wakeful decided to put a very special event where we could enjoy authentic twelve hours of high-quality electronic music.

There were several clubs that opened Friday to Monday without stopping the music for one single minute. As expected, the Golden Gate was one of them. The Wakeful “Eastern Festival” was presented in cooperation with four artists who offered a mix of real sound shows and exceptional eletronic beats. The sixth edition of Wakeful became a pure success.

One more highlight of the night was certainly the visual mapping of the DJs performance via a placed panel behind the cab, which surprised both aesthetically and visually. Jaime & Vani were the architects of the play.

Anyways, lets get back to the amazing “Easter Festival” and its awesome Djs.In charge of the opening at the evening was Samu, boss and master of the Novo Music label, who has long been receiving the support of the elite of the scene through which quality and variety releases are distributed equally. With his tech-house, touched by a little bit of funk, so characterisitc for Samu, he delivered the perfect warm-up for the opening of the night.

Three in the morning.Time for jazz, time for Blasmanjazz with his improvised electronic LIVE SHOW. Ableton, controller, drums and a microphone were the only tools they used and with non-stop dancing Durantes three hours in which a tech-house dancefloor we walked up and down the body. After waiting long minutes to cool the throat, we were ready for the closing sets of the resident DJs, Bruno Otranto and FreedomB.

Bruno Otranto was chosen to start the easter monday morning. Starting of his set with cool & deep sounds, minutes later BO turned into a tech-house, which was greatly appreciated by the audience, that did not stop dancing for even a moment. Nine o’clock, time in which the music was transformed into applause to appreciate the performance of Bruno Otranto, one of the creators of theWakeful project.

With a 2009 track by the Germans Tiefschwarz and Seth Troxler, the second creator and Dj of the Wakeful project, aka FreedomB, took over. Chicago vocal house grooves mixed with current and occasional touch of German influence is the perfect definition to summarize the three hours that we delight the Monza Ibiza Records and which said “see you soon”, hoping to return in April to enjoy more and better.
